Anna has a lifetime of experience as a healing artist. She was introduced to yoga as a disabled teen struggling with severe chronic illnesses; as a young adult, alternative medicine became her core means of survival. Anna has studied and trained in the holistic modalities that supported her natural healing process thereafter (such as yoga, meditation, nutrition, acupressure, energy medicine, narrative medicine, and plant medicine/essential oils). She is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, a member of the American Academy for Drugless Practitioners, a Reiki Master, a CranioSacral therapist, an artist, a writer, an instructor of mindful multi-media art and creative writing, a health coach, and a 200-RYT Kripalu Yoga teacher. Anna has additional trainings in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, SuperHealth Yogic Science, the Emotional Freedom Technique, the AromaTouch Technique, Primordial Sound Meditation, hypnosis, holistic hospice support, spiritual guidance and ministry, and zen writing practice. She has experience offering artistic and holistic classes, workshops, and healing sessions – for individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. Anna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Health, Arts, and Sciences at Goddard College; her studies there included the psychophysiology of stress/trauma/relaxation, psychoneuroimmunology, post-traumatic stress disorder, neuroplasticity, art therapy, and poetic/narrative medicine.
